I'm never sure at springtime whether those signs of life are supposed to make me feel better, or stab me in the heart. Depends on whether I've had my coffee, I guess. Once nice thing here this early spring is that it's been warm, and being outside and watching things seems far different to me that watching from inside bundled up in a sweater. Don't know why.
"Be OK" is still on my running mix even though it's been thoroughly overhauled a number of times this year. If I hear it in the car, I sing it at the top of my lungs.
When your page loaded and I saw these two colorful flowers and knew what they must symbolize, my first thought was "I hope she is ok".
And, as a long time reader, I really, truly hope you are or that you are on your way. Being "ok" is a continuum unto itself and I just hope you find your place on it.
I'm sure it is so bittersweet, a reminder of what was lost and hope for the future all rolled into two.

You'll have to take the bulbs with you when you move...or keep a really lovely photo.
